Stella McCartney Spring/Summer 2012 collection

Stella McCartney Spring/Summer 2012 collection
Shorter with mixed prints and white mesh separated by three-dimensional
swirls of corded embroidery was the bulk of McCartney's collection this
season. Gone is the season of tight clingy dresses, the new inspiration seems
to be art. This collection is highly creative and looks very A level textiles inspired, which
isn't a bad thing. McCartneys profits have been going up since the start of this
year and don't show any sign of slowing down with the preview of next season.

Antiques blues for this spring

Band of outsiders. Seizing inspiration from Peter Weir's hypnotic films, so
they sent out a sampler platter of looks that conjured his film's Edwardian
feel. Gorgeous dresses with antique style print. I loove the transition from
white moving to blue floral prints..one of my favourite collections of
New York fashion week
Alexander Wang. What started as an athletic 'car racer' looks soon turned
into elegant prints with a twist.Like before the transition from colour to
print was apparent.. Although this time the print was all over but the
colour was sort of dip dyed.. almost like the trend of ombre hair. Combined
with tough leather or bold pockets and zips this is a really great collection
Narciso Rodriguez Specialises in minimalist subtlety.
It started simply, with a black T-shirt, its shoulders slightly padded,
worn with a pair of white trousers with a jagged black waistband.
But the patch working quickly became more intense. Dresses were pieced
together like a puzzle from with blue antique floral print. Very elegant
and crisp. All these shows remind me of antique blue and white floral
plates and table wear. I think this is one of the key looks for next Spring.

Fall 2011 trend report

Alot of polka dots, sixties themed, and college type garments seem
to be the main trends for this coming fall. Designers such as Rodarte
and Maison Martin Margiela seemed to bring the idea of collaging to life
using fabrics, by draping & folding. Can't wait to get out the knits and
start layering for winter:):)

Lucy in Disguise collection

I've only just stumbled across Lilly Allen+Sarah Owen's collection for Lucy in disguise..
it's amazing, particularly in loove with this unique print dress
the collection is full of floral and kitsch prints in daytime and evening wear.
These are just a few of my favourite pieces...
I'd team the fortnums dress £185 with these suede multi strap boots
from topshop for those English rainy days over summer
with the Moschino bottle top jacket thrown over the top
Finishing the look with this stunning 50's mother of pearl bracelet
Just had to add this amazing ornate beaded clutch would liven up any LBD
Can't wait to visit London next to experience their shop:)
