No summer this year..Autumn must haves

Preview of Topshop's Autumn/winter collection
Big trends seem to be faux fur coats, pencil skirts, boots and novelty jumpers
Looks as though its going to be a great winter already:)
One of my must haves would have to be the mulberry Polly push lock £850
If, like me, short of stealing this bag, there's no way I'm going to own one.
Instead, this Urban outfitters Kimchi & Blue Two-Tone Lady Bag
is the perfect substitute at £48
Check out Mulberry's site, its amazing.

Pamela Love

'A preoccupation with the historical and cultural significance
of jewellery has taken Love around the world - in particular to Mexico.
This ring has a strong Aztec influence and are full of striking
details. Featuring delicate engravings and geometric stud
accents, this traditional Mexican-inspired piece have a fresh,
fashion-forward spin by Pamela Love'
This spring/summer Love teamed up with Topshop bringing inspiration
from south America with native American designs. Love was inspired
by 70's 'gypsy rockers' giving an earthy laid back style.
the collection includes dream catchers, hearts and arrows,
frozen links as well as chain and stud bits.
Only 200 rings (below) were made for topshop.

From catwalk to high street

Lanvin spring summer 2010
"I'm not a cool designer, and Lanvin is not a cool brand,"
Alber Elbaz insisted with his typical self-deprecation
at the end of yet another standout show.
Gorgeous floating maxi skirts, pleated like shells under the sea.
contrasted with a natural green coloured top & topped off with
stunning ornate brooches connected to a new take on the belt.
These pieces below are my high street versions.
obviously not the real thing but at half the
price you can't go wrong:)

Dark ivy pleated midi skirt - Yayer £30
Navy Lace Halter Crop Blouse £20
Topshop Mustard Sheer Maxi Skirt £45
Topshop Chocolate Leather Double buckle belt £28
Vintage jewellery - regency Rhinestone bug brooch £48

Or you could always go for the real thing

Lanvin Swarovski crystal insect

necklace at a pricey £1,145

Rodarte inspiration for prints in fashion

Kate and Laura Mulleavy, of Rodarte found inspiration for Spring
in their childhood garden. They promised "every shade of brown
you can imagine, seventies suburbia, wood paneling, gold, off colors like chartreuse—basically, a combination of all the things that
represent our area to us."
This season Yayer have some gorgeous print skirts, in colourings very similar
to Rodartes spring summer collection. Perfect for the summer ahead.
